This video shows how to make one folder for your savegames, if you are playing on Linux you have savegames same as Windows.

Example games: GTA Vice City, GTA San Andreas

Command to create a "shortcut":
ln -s "/media/Windows XP/Documents and Settings/Administrator/My Documents/GTA Vice City User Files" "~/GTA Vice City User Files"
